A family history, a shared passion
Who we are
Château Pontet Teyssier is the culmination of a family project led by Daniel and Alexandre Dupont, father and son, united by their love of vines and wine. With complementary backgrounds – one in the management and distribution of major Champagne houses, the other trained in viti-oenology and with 20 years’ experience at the helm of wine estates – they founded Domaine Larybère together in 2002.
In 2009, they chose to settle in Vignonet, at the foot of Saint-Émilion, on an exceptional terroir.

Our wine
Produced with the utmost care and patience, our wine expresses all the richness of our right bank Dordogne location.
A well-balanced blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Château Pontet Teyssier seduces with its deep color and complex nose of ripe fruit and spices, underlined by a touch of minerality.
A firm, velvety attack is followed by an ample, round and suave palate, with elegant, well-coated tannins guaranteeing good evolution. A harmonious blend of power and elegance, marked by its noble origins.
Aged between 8 and 14 months in French oak barrels, it combines power and finesse, revealing its full potential after a few years of cellaring.
A wine of character, shaped by nature and time, destined for demanding connoisseurs and fine dining alike.
A living vineyard, cultivated with care
Vineyards, vines and grape varieties
Our estate covers 22 hectares, divided into 17 parcels with varied soils, mainly sandy-silty and gravelly. The oldest vineyard is over 60 years old, and the average age is over 40, a guarantee of complexity and depth.
- Merlot: round, tender and generous, it forms the main fabric of our wines.
- Cabernet Sauvignon: colorful and tannic, it brings structure and longevity.
- Cabernet Franc: fine and aromatic, it enriches the blend with spicy and floral notes.
Our environmental approach is certified by Agriconfiance and Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE). We promote biodiversity by replanting hedges, fruit trees and rose bushes, creating natural ecological corridors around our plots.
We use trichogramma for the vineyard’s natural defense. Manual leaf-thinning, thinning, controlled grassing and double Guyot pruning are all precise gestures to guarantee healthy, concentrated grapes.
In the winery, our red wines ferment in thermo-regulated vats. We favor vertical, gentle pressing, and long barrel ageing without racking, in keeping with the fruit and the vintage.
